Postbiotics are preparations of inanimate microorganisms and/or their components that confer a health benefit on the host (ISAPP, 2021). They are obtained by inactivating probiotics while retaining the biological activity of cell structures and metabolites. Postbiotics are highly stable — heat-tolerant, acid-tolerant and shelf-stable — and require no refrigeration.
Probiotics are live microorganisms that must stay alive through storage; postbiotics are inactivated microorganisms and their components, which do not need to stay alive. Postbiotics tolerate heat and acid and need no refrigeration, so they keep more stably in storage.
Soluna Doc postbiotic drink mix is suitable for children aged 3 and above. Each 2 g stick pack can be taken directly, or dissolved in 100 ml of warm water (below 40°C) and stirred until even. Please refer to the directions on the product packaging.
The Sun Stick (Morning Formula, sweet orange flavor) contains beta-glucan, EpiCor and vitamin C and is meant for 9:00 in the morning; the Moon Stick (Evening Formula, cranberry flavor) contains GABA, magnesium and zinc and is meant for 21:00 in the evening. Each contains 14 probiotic strains.
